Phishing is the term for a scam in which a dishonest person pretends to represent a legitimate company and asks you to update your account information, number, passwords, name, social security number and/or other personal information. The information you give out can then be used for identity theft! Please be cautious with the information you give out.

If you have received any e-mail from someone claiming to be the Credit Union or other financial institution, please report the incident to the Internet Fraud Complaint Center: http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp. *Text Messaging- asking you to call a toll free number and give your account information.
*E-mail- asking you to click on links then directing you to give account information.
*DO NOT RESPOND to email scams that ask you for your account number, credit card number, and personal identification numbers.
*Email messages that ask for this type of information are fraudulent, and should be reported immediately.
